Units are the whole combat layer of Multiverse Tower Defense. You do not build turrets from a shop grid; you summon characters from FNAF, Undertale, Poppy Playtime, PVZ, Doors, Roblox, The Boys, SCP, and whatever universe the next patch adds. Rarity tags you will see

Shiny is a variant tag (Shiny Kuzya from RELEASE). Rainbow units from Summon and Heroes shop now carry serial numbers. Neither tag is a ninth rarity; they are overlays that matter for trading and collection.
How units get stronger
Level them in matches, enchant and fuse keepers, spin abilities when a kit is missing a role, and slot Upgrade Tree points on the account. A Secret you never place will lose to a leveled Rare. The tier list assumes investment.
Index and trophies
The Guilds update expanded index rewards. Collecting 200 units grants Imposter. That is a long-term collection goal, not a day-one DPS plan. Duplicate Commons still have a job: they fill the index without wasting Mythic pity.
Universes versus units
Owning Balloon Boy does not mean you are ready for a FNAF 3 map. Owning Sans does not auto-clear Undertale Hardcore. Match crate theme to the mode you are queueing — Raids and Indie Cross especially. The FNAF thumbnail universe is a map, not a unit pack you automatically receive.
