Multiverse Tower Defense Beginner Tier List
Win Classic with fillers, then spend Cash like you already read the meta page.
A beginner list answers a different question than current meta. You probably do not own CatNap. You might own a Kuzya, a Barni, a Balloon Boy, and whatever MTD Cash bought on Standard. This page ranks what to place and upgrade first on a new Multiverse Tower Defense account.
Priority ladder
- Anything that actually hits the path — a placed Common beats an unequipped Exotic.
- Named code units — Mettaton from
METTATON, Shiny Kuzya fromRELEASE(place the Shiny if you have nothing better; do not fuse it). - Highest rarity you pulled on Standard — Rare Balloon Boy over Uncommon Barni over Common Kuzya.
- A booster or spawner if a crate gifted one. One buffer is a force multiplier.
- Stop rolling Beast Warm. That banner is for later. Details on summons.
Starter S — use these if you have them
You will not have real S-tier yet. Treat these as “starter S”:
- Mettaton (code)
- Any Epic or better from a crate (
UNDERTALE,MULTIVERSE,HEROBRINE) - A Rare with range that covers a long straight
- A friend-carried Secret you did not earn — still place it
Starter A — honest Commons and Uncommons
- Kuzya — cheap, everywhere, fine for Classic wave one. Upgrade only until a Rare exists.
- Barni — Uncommon filler. Same job as Kuzya with a slightly better tag.
- Balloon Boy — Rare. This is your first “real” DPS for many accounts.
Place two fillers at the first bend, then your best DPS where the path stays in range. That is the whole how to play lesson in one sentence.
Starter B — do not dump Cash here
- Extra copies of the same Common. Fuse later, do not place six Kuzya.
- Cosmetics and mastery flex. They do not hold Classic.
- Premium banner singles that leave you broke before wave five.
Starter C — inventory only
- Duplicate Commons saved for the 200 index → Imposter grind. Keep them in index, not on the path once you have Rares.
- Crates you do not understand yet (Raid Crate 4, Indie Cross). Open after you read those guides.
First week plan tied to ranks
Day 1: Classic until five wins, redeem codes, Standard summons, place starter A/S.
Day 2: If you still leak, fix placement, not banners.
Day 3: Enchant nothing. You do not have a keeper.
Day 4: If a Legendary or Mythic dropped, that unit becomes your only upgrade target.
Day 5: Read fusion and enchant and graduate to the meta list.
Co-op caveat
A friend can park an S-tier on your Classic run. You still need your own units for solo. Do not skip Standard summons because someone else’s Floppa carried a badge. Online co-op is a tool, not a replacement roster.
When to leave this page
Leave when you own at least one Epic+ you are willing to main, or when Hardcore Classic is the next badge. At that point the tier list hub and meta page are the correct ranks. Staying on beginner ranks after you own Floppa is how people under-upgrade their actual carry.
If a YouTuber’s S-tier is a maxed Doors tower you do not own, it is trivia, not a shopping list. Farm Cash on Classic, summon Standard, and let the roster climb naturally.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Multiverse Tower Defense on Roblox.
Is Balloon Boy good for beginners?
Yes. Rare is a big step above Common Kuzya. Place it on a long path and upgrade it first.
Should I sell Commons?
Keep index copies. Fuse or vendor true duplicates after you have a Rare on the board.
When do I start using the current meta list?
When you own an Epic or better you will actually enchant, or when you queue Hardcore and Raids.
Can codes skip the beginner ranks?
They help. `METTATON` and crate codes can drop A-tier starters. They still need placement. Redeem via how to redeem.
