Getting Started in Multiverse Tower Defense
Five wins, starter Cash, then a lane that actually holds.
Multiverse Tower Defense throws a full lobby at you on minute one: banners, Shop, universes, Guilds, Plaza. Ignore most of it. Your first hour has three jobs — win Classic, unlock codes, and put a cheap lane on the path that can finish the map without a Mythic.
This walkthrough is for The ROBO Studio game (the one with code MTD and universes such as FNAF, Undertale, and Poppy Playtime). If your Shop asks for UPDATE34, you launched the wrong experience.
Minute-by-minute first session
- Spawn in the lobby. Find Shop on the left. You cannot redeem yet if you have zero wins — that is expected.
- Open the universe list and start Classic on normal. Do not queue Hardcore, Roof, Raid, or Indie Cross until you have a board.
- Place whatever starter units you own as soon as Cash from waves allows. Cover the path, not the pretty corner of the map.
- Upgrade the unit that is actually hitting, not the one with the loudest animation.
- Finish the map. Classic pays on the order of hundreds of Cash (first-time clears around 750 have been recorded in public first-play sessions, with total Cash near 1,000 after lobby bits). Exact payouts shift with patches; the point is you now have a win toward the five-win gate.
- Repeat Classic or the next easy universe until five wins show. Then redeem every row on the codes hub.
Deaths are cheap. Leaving a match is not a win. Stay until the result screen.
Summons after the first Cash stack
The lobby shows several banners: Standard, Retro, Toolbox, Hyped, Forsaken, plus a premium Beast Warm line that costs more per pull. First-play recordings spend the starter stack on Standard tens, not on two premium singles. Copy that.
You will see Commons such as Kuzya, Uncommons such as Barni, and the occasional Rare. That is enough to hold Classic. Secret CatNap, Exotic Sans, and Mythic Floppa can wait. Read summon banners before you touch Beast Warm.
If RELEASE gave you Shiny Kuzya, keep it. If METTATON gave you Mettaton, slot it when the cost fits. Neither replaces learning placement.
Placement rules that survive every universe
- Put DPS where the path stays in range the longest, not on the spawn door.
- One buffer or booster is worth more than a fifth copy of the same Common.
- Sell only when the next placement is already funded. Panic-selling mid-wave is how Classic leaks.
- Doors-style spawners (for example Rush from later crates) need space for summons; do not sandwich them between walls.
The how to play page expands this into co-op and Hardcore. For hour one, solo Classic is enough.
What to ignore on day one
- Trading Plaza until you have a Shiny, Secret, or duplicate Exotic. You have nothing to sell yet.
- Upgrade Tree dump — put a point or two into economy if a cheap node exists, then stop. Tree planning belongs after you know your main unit.
- Guilds until you can complete maps reliably. Season 2 rewards are real, but a dead guild does not carry Classic.
- Scripts. You do not need a macro to beat the tutorial universe. If you still want one later, scripts and safety are waiting.
First-play video
The embed below is a real first session: Shop, Standard versus Beast Warm, and a Classic clear. Watch the summon choice more than the jokes — that is the lesson.
After five wins
Redeem MTD, crate codes, and RELEASE. Open only the crates that match the universe you will play next. Then:
- Compare pulls to the beginner tier list.
- Enchant nothing until you read fusion and enchant.
- Queue a second universe (FNAF and Undertale are the ones players hit early).
- When Classic is trivial, try Hardcore Classic for the badge — not before.
You are done with onboarding when you can clear Classic without opening Shop mid-panic and you know where Redeem lives. Everything else is progression, not a tutorial.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Multiverse Tower Defense on Roblox.
How long until I can redeem codes?
After five wins. Classic on normal is the fastest legal path. Then use how to redeem.
Should I roll Beast Warm with starter Cash?
No. Standard tens teach the roster and fill the lane. Beast Warm waits until your defense already holds.
I lost my first Classic. Did I waste the account?
No. Requeue. Losses do not lock banners. Placement and upgrades matter more than the first rare.
Can friends carry my five wins?
Online co-op is allowed on ten-player servers. You still need the match to count as a win on your profile. See how to play.
